Thorn Pitidol is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University. He is also a Director of the Center for Research on Inequality and Social Policy (CRISP) at Thammasat University.

Thorn’s current research focuses on the issue of inequality and welfare policies, particularly in the context of Thailand. Thorn’s academic interests lie at the intersection between economics and politics.

Previously he has worked on issues including poverty, community development, corruption, civil society, and democratization.

Thorn holds a DPhil in Social Policy from University of Oxford, UK.
