Mew Suppasit Jongcheveevat is a Thai actor and singer who is best known for his role as Tharn in TharnType: The Series.

Mew was cast in the Thai version of the Australian mock-dating reality show, Take Me Out Thailand and subsequently appeared in the spin-off Take Me Out Reality Thailand where contestants went on dating activities such as theme parks and picnics.

His first major role though was in the boys’ love (BL) Thai series I Am Your King (2017). In 2018 he landed his first lead role in the BL Series, What The Duck: The Series, playing “Pree”. This was an immediate success and spurred a second season titled “What The Duck 2: The Final Call” which premiered on LINE TV on 18th March, 2019.

In early 2019 Mew got the break he was looking for when it was announced that he would star as “Tharn” on TharnType: The Series. The series not only became hugely popular in Thailand but also attracted an international following too. A sequel, "Tharntype The Series 2: 7 Years of Love", premiered on November 6, 2020 after production was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mew also starred in a short action film called Undefeated by Garena Free Fire TH, alongside Yaya Urassaya and Luke Voyage, which was released on March 9th , 2021.

It has been announced that an album will be released in 2021 and that Mew will also be starring in a new drama series called ‘Aquarium Man’.

He has a sizable fan club in Thailand, Southeast Asia, China and further afield. From the popularity of “TharnType: The Series”, fans began to refer to him and his co-star as “MewGulf”, a combination of both of their nicknames. Fans have even bought rights to name stars after them both. In December 2020, Chinese fans launched 200 drones over the Shanghai North Bund Riverside; he is the third Thai artist to have a drone project. The original name of his fan club is ‘Mewlions’, - a confluence of his nickname Mew and the word millions.

Mew and Gulf (aka Kanawut Traipipattanapong) won "Best Kiss Scene" at the LINE TV Awards 2020. Other awards include ZOOMDARA of the Year and Best BL Couple. He and Kanawat Traipipattanapong have also been featured in Harper's Bazaar Thailand, the first BL couple to be included in the history of the magazine. Such was the international hunger for the article that their website crashed. Mew is the first male to be featured on the cover of Cosmopolitan Indonesia and the first Thai male to be on the cover of Elle Thailand magazine.

Mew graduated with First Class Honors from Kasetsart University, majoring in Industrial Engineering. He completed a Master’s degree also in Industrial Engineering at Chulalongkorn University before embarking on his PhD in Industrial Engineering at Chulalongkorn University.

His favorite artists are Stamp Apiwat and Ed Sheeran. He doesn’t like spicy food and doesn’t drink coffee. He loves milk shakes though. He likes to go to the gym, swim and play badminton and his hobbies include photography, sport, traveling and singing. His favorite color is dark blue, he really doesn’t like being asked how old he is and he is not a big fan of lizards. As well as playing the guitar, singing and dancing, Mew really likes to study and learn.
