Bon Prisa Jakobsen is an executive coach and online content creator who created a name for herself as one of Thailand’s pioneering YouTubers back in 2010. She has been a TV show and newsroom host whilst fueling her YouTube channel for women who are inspired by her quick wit.
Bon Prisa Jakobsen came into the limelight as one of Thailand’s very first YouTubers when she launched her channel in 2010. She quickly grew a loyal following with her unique formula of sharp-tongued humor, critical realness and caustic jocularity, infused with a generous dose of sarcasm.
In 2012, she took a six year sabbatical from YouTubing to become a morning TV show host with Workpoint Entertainment, producing a show called “Suay Chiab Neiab” (beautiful-crisp-excellent). Targeted at Thai women, the program covered beauty tips, health and business.
In 2018, Bon made a come-back on her YouTube channel, this time with more of a lifestyle angle that explored life perspectives but still with a sense of fun. A fervent believer in giving back to the world in whatever way you can, her mission was to help make people’s lives better.
Bon has never succumbed to the “YouTube influencer” mold; trying to sell beauty and slimming products. Her YouTube channel has been as much about motivating her to embark on an enriching journey that explores work, relationships, family, health & beauty, as it has been to share with her followers.
Rewinding to 2004, Bon became the Thailand English Speech Champion, beating three other finalists from Chulalongkorn University. One of the proudest moments of her life, this also ignited her interest in public speaking and motivated her to become a public speaking coach and, later, an executive coach.
This gave rise to her being a newsroom host on television in Thailand from 2016 and to being awarded the position of official public speaking coach for contestants in Miss Universe Thailand 2019. She has since developed this aspect of her career to executive coaching as well.
An ardent believer in the Creative Economy, Bon also continues to champion Thai Patoong, the traditional dress of women in Thailand and neighboring countries. Although the Patoong has long since fallen out of fashion in Thailand, Bon provides an online destination for women to share their passion and knowledge to help preserve cultural identity.
Bon Jakobsen graduated from Ramkhamhaeng University with a Bachelor of Education (BEd) in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Prior to this she attended Arrow Vale Highschool in the UK. She currently lives in Bangkok, Thailand.
